Non Medical Prescriber

Seven Criminal Justice is seeking an experienced, patient-focused Non-Medical Prescriber to be a part of our multidisciplinary team in Manchester. The successful candidate will be responsible for working in partnership with the healthcare team to provide patients with crucial care and prescribe necessary medication.

Responsibilities:

– Conduct patient consultations, including evaluation of their health condition, understanding their needs, and offering suitable advice and treatment.

– Assess the health and clinical risks and benefits associated with medicine use.

– Prescribe medication to patients within your scope of practice and prescribing authority.

– Undertake clinical examinations and investigations and understand and interpret the findings accurately.

– Maintain accurate, thorough records of patient consultations, medications, and treatments.

– Develop and manage a plan of care for patients, safeguarding the necessity and suitable use of medicinal substances.

– Stay updated on current pharmaceutical practices, new drugs on the market, and the latest treatment protocols.

– Ensure ethical, customer-focused practices are priority, reinforcing the organisation’s reputation.

Requirements:

– Valid non-medical prescribing qualification – V300 (Essential).

– Excellent decision-making abilities and high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.

– In-depth knowledge of medicines and the legislation governing prescribing.

– Current registration as a Nurse, Pharmacist or Allied Health Professional as per UK regulatory bodies.

– Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

– Excellent knowledge of the local healthcare system.

– Good understanding of a range of medical conditions.

– Proficient in using computer software and electronic health records systems.

– Demonstrated experience in a relevant role would be desirable.
