Non Medical Prescriber

Seven Criminal Justice are searching for a qualified and experienced Non-Medical Prescriber to join our dynamic team in Wirral, UK. The candidate will be responsible for the prescription and review of medications to patients, working within agreed protocols and within their sphere of competency.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform patient consultations, evaluate their medical and physical condition, and discuss the treatment options.

2. Prescribe necessary medications in line with hospital and national professional standards and regulations.

3. Conduct regular medication reviews and chronic disease management.

4. Provide support and advice to patients, ensuring the effective medication management.

5. Work collaboratively with other medical and non-medical colleagues, contributing towards team-based working.

6. Maintain up-to-date, accurate and confidential patient records.

7. Adhere to local policies and procedures, as well as national laws and regulations regarding prescribing.

8. Contribute to ongoing service development and quality improvement within the prescribing service.

Requirements:

1. Must have a valid NMC or GPHC registration.

2. Must have completed a UK recognised Non-Medical Prescribing course.

3. Demonstrable competence in the field of prescribing and medicine management.

4. Active Independent Prescriber.

5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

6. Knowledge of the current laws and regulations related to non-medical prescribing.

7. Experience working in a multidisciplinary team.
