Non-medical Prescriber

Seven Criminal Justice are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Non-Medical Prescriber to join our multidisciplinary team in Leeds. The successful candidate will be responsible for comprehensive patient care, providing clinical assessments, and prescribing medication within their competency scope.

Responsibilities:

– Perform thorough clinical assessments to patients to determine their health status and potential risks.

– Develop an individualised prescription plan based on the group of medicines they are qualified to prescribe.

– Follow up and evaluate the effectiveness of the prescription, adjusting the treatment plan accordingly.

– Document all patient information and medical history accurately to maintain a complete health record.

– Liaise with other healthcare professionals to plan and manage patient care effectively.

– Stay abreast with latest medical and pharmaceutical developments, treatments, and medication side effects.

– Ensuring all prescriptions meet legal requirements and professional standards.

– Contribute to the practice’s continuous improvement by participating in quality and audit activities.

Qualifications:

– Current and valid registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) or the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) or the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

– An accredited qualification as a Non-Medical Prescriber.

– Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Non-Medical Prescriber.

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

– Strong understanding of pharmaceutical legislation and ethical considerations.

– Commitment to delivering high standards of patient care.
