Non-medical Prescriber

Seven Criminal Justice are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Non-Medical Prescriber to join our team. The candidate is required to carry out a pivotal role within our multi-disciplinary team, and should be ready to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Safely and effectively prescribe necessary medications to patients, adhering to established treatment protocols and guidelines.

2. Carry out detailed medicines management responsibilities including ensuring the proper medication records.

3. Provide medication related advice to patients, their relatives and healthcare staff.

4. Work alongside medical staff to assess, diagnose, prescribe and evaluate patient care.

5. Conduct medication reviews and make necessary changes in the medication regime, balancing risks and benefits.

6. Act as a mentor for pre-registration pharmacist prescribers.

7. Stay updated with latest advancements and changes in medications and guidelines.

8. Ensure compliance with legislative requirements, good practice guidelines and professional judgement.

Qualifications:

1. Educated to at least degree level or equivalent in Pharmacy, or related field.

2. Hold a Non-medical Prescribing qualification.

3. Full registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.

4. Evidence of post registration CPD appropriate to the post.

5. Previous relevant experience in a non-medical prescribing role.

Skills:

1. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

2. Strong decision-making skills and the ability to work under pressure.

3. In-depth understanding of drug interactions and medication side effects.

4. Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.

5. Team player with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
