Non Medical Prescriber

Seven Criminal Justice are seeking a dedicated and well-trained Non-Medical Prescriber to join an outstanding team in Cumbria. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in assessing, diagnosing, and prescribing treatment for various conditions autonomously.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Using your in-depth knowledge and intricately-honed skills, you will determine suitable treatments for patients meeting their individual needs.

2. Manage patient consultations in a clear, concise and professional manner ensuring suitable and effective communication.

3. Prescribing appropriate medications using patient medical histories, physical condition, and lifestyle to make informed decisions.

4. Monitoring the efficiency of prescribed medication therapy and making necessary adjustments to ensure successful treatment.

5. Identifying possible health risks and offering professional support and education to patients and families.

6. Collaborating with other medical practitioners and healthcare professionals in the interest of providing high-quality patient-centered care.

7. Keeping precise and accurate patient records, ensuring all guidelines are adhered to.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

1. A postgraduate degree in Nurse or Pharmacist Independent Prescribing.

2. Must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) or the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).

3. Demonstrable experience as a non-medical prescriber.

4. High proficiency in managing and treating common medical conditions.

5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

6. Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

7. Strong understanding of UK prescribing guidelines with up-to-date clinical knowledge and skills.

8. Strict adherence to confidentiality and medical ethics.

Please note this role requires an individual who is motivated with a passion for delivering quality healthcare services. Experience within the Cumbria or surrounding areas would be an advantage, but is not essential.
