Non-Medical Prescriber

Seven Criminal Justice are looking to hire a diligent and highly skilled Non-Medical Prescriber for a reputable healthcare facility in Chichester. The Non-Medical Prescriber will extrapolate their experience and expertise in patient care to diagnose illness, disease, and condition and recommend or prescribe appropriate treatment when necessary.

Responsibilities:

1. Undertake accurate, efficient and relevant assessments of patients, interpretation of test results, clinical reasoning, and management plans, using excellent communication and consultation skills.

2. Use expert knowledge to prescribe safe and effective treatments, both physical and pharmaceutical independently, within the area of competence.

3. Develop and maintain competence in prescribing practice in line with the latest clinical and professional guidelines.

4. Effectively manage and prioritize a caseload, working independently and also within a team.

5. Maintain accurate, comprehensive records of consultations and treatments.

6. Liaise efficiently with other healthcare professionals, supporting and giving advice to ensure patient care is safe and of a high standard.

7. Continually enhance clinical skills and professional knowledge by participating in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and regular training.

Requirements:

1. Valid registration as a Non-Medical Prescriber with the appropriate UK professional body.

2. Broad clinical experience, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment and care planning.

3. Strong team working abilities and excellent communication skills.

4. Evidence of ongoing professional development in line with the latest research.

5. Current knowledge of relevant legislation, guidelines and policies within the prescribing environment.

6. Detailed understanding of clinical governance and risk management.

7. Excellent problem-solving capabilities and an analytical approach to situations.

8. Ability to work autonomously in line with professional guidelines and within the boundaries of personal competence.

Note: The successful candidate will be expected to comply with all local COVID-19 guidelines and policies and may be required to undertake additional related training.
