Non Medical Prescriber

Seven Criminal Justice are hiring for the position of a Non-Medical Prescriber at our highly reputable healthcare facility in Eastbourne, UK. Key Responsibilities:

1. Assessing patient histories, symptoms, and health statuses to make sound clinical decisions regarding pharmaceutical care.

2. Ensuring accurate prescription of medications and monitoring patients’ responses to the treatment, adjusting dosage or medication as necessary.

3. Working in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams, establishing and maintaining strong relationships with other medical practitioners.

4. Providing appropriate healthcare advice and education to patients and caregivers, enabling proper administration of prescribed medications.

5. Keeping accurate, comprehensive, and up-to-date records and notes of all patient consultations.

6. Ensuring adherence to all national and local policies, clinical guidelines, and professional standards related to pharmaceutical care.

7. Continually reviewing and updating personal competencies to ensure continual professional development and delivery of high-quality patient care.

Qualification and Skills:

1. Valid UK-based Nurse or Pharmacist registration with Non-Medical Prescribing qualification.

2. Ability to clinically assess patients, diagnose conditions, and prescribe appropriate medications.

3. Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in an acute or primary care setting.

4. Working knowledge of policies and regulations pertaining to prescribing.

5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to interact with patients, caregivers, and the multi-disciplinary team effectively.

6. High levels of empathy, patience, and understanding in handling various patient needs.

7. Strong decision-making capabilities and ability to function effectively in a high-pressure environment.
