Non-medical Prescriber

Seven Criminal Justice are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Non-Medical Prescriber to join our team in Reading, UK. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to enhance your skills and knowledge in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Carry out clinical assessments of patients to establish their clinical needs.

2. Determine and prescribe suitable medication adjustments based on evaluation of patient progress.

3. Adhere to clinical governance procedures and meet patient safety requirements.

4. Promote the optimisation of medicines management.

5. Liaise with healthcare professionals internally and externally to ensure the best possible patient care.

6. Demonstrate good management and leadership skills to guide and support the wider healthcare team.

7. Work proactively and efficiently, prioritising workload and managing time effectively.

8. Maintain accurate, confidential health records.

Required Qualifications/Skills:

1. Must be a registered non-medical prescriber with a valid prescribing qualification.

2. Proven experience in a similar role.

3. Excellent clinical assessment skills and the ability to make considered decisions.

4. Demonstrable understanding of the laws and regulations pertaining to prescribing.

5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to put patients at ease.

6. Strong organisational and administrative skills.

7. Knowledge of safeguarding protocols.

8. Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

9. Commitment to ongoing professional development.

10. Flexibility to work variable hours as service needs dictate.
