Non-Medical Prescriber

Seven Criminal Justice are seeking a qualified and skilled Non-Medical Prescriber to join our multi-disciplinary team in Wokingham. The chosen candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care through assessing patient needs, developing detailed treatment plans, and implementing timely and effective care.

Responsibilities:

1. Safely and appropriately prescribe medication to patients based on their individual needs and circumstances, adhering to local and national guidelines.

2. Conduct patient assessments to acquire a comprehensive understanding of their health status, medical history, and current symptoms.

3. Regularly review and monitor patients’ progress and response to treatment, adjusting medication and dosage as necessary.

4. Develop, implement, and review individual care plans for patients.

5. Collaborate and communicate effectively with the broader healthcare team, including doctors, nurses, and pharmacists, to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.

6. Promote health education and disease prevention strategies among patients.

7. Maintain up-to-date knowledge and understanding of developments in the field, and participate in professional development activities as needed.

8. Ensure all prescribing activities are adequately documented to maintain a high level of transparency and accuracy.

Qualifications:

1. Hold a valid UK Non-Medical Prescriber qualification.

2. Active registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) or other relevant bodies.

3. Excellent clinical assessment skills and a strong understanding of the principles of medicine management.

4. Superior communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

5. A commitment to stay updated with the latest best practices, medical research, and healthcare laws and regulations.

6. Proven time management skills and the ability to handle a high volume of patients appropriately.

7. Experience using various health information technology systems.

8. Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends, holidays, and during emergencies.
