Non-Medical Prescriber

Seven Criminal Justice are seeking a knowledgeable, experienced, and compassionate Non-Medical Prescriber to join our healthcare team in Newquay. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to enhance your prescribing skills while working in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities:

1. Evaluating patients’ health conditions and carrying out appropriate physical examinations.

2. Initiating, reviewing, and adjusting therapy or treatment plans based on patients’ responses and conditions.

3. Creating a strong link with the wider healthcare team, to ensure patient care is comprehensive and coordinated.

4. Helping to institute protocols for prescribing medicines, taking into account the benefits and risks.

5. Providing education and advice to patients on drugs reactions, side effects, and correct administration.

6. Referring complex cases to relevant medical professionals for further diagnosis and treatment.

7. Maintaining up-to-date patient records and ensuring confidentiality.

Required skills and qualifications:

1. A valid registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) or General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) or Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC).

2. Certified Non-Medical Prescriber with a V300 qualification or equivalent.

3. Proven experience in a similar role.

4. Outstanding patient management skills.

5. Up-to-date knowledge of prescribing guidelines, medical conditions, pharmacological treatments and health promotion.

6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

7. Strong commitment to maintaining high-quality care and safety standards.
