Non-Medical Prescriber

Seven Criminal Justice are currently seeking a skilled and capable Non-Medical Prescriber to join our multidisciplinary healthcare organisation based in Crawley, UK. As a Non-Medical Prescriber, you will play a crucial role in prescribing medications and managing patient treatments while working within your scope of professional competence.

Responsibilities:

1. Assess patient health, perform physical examinations, and interpret patient medical history to evaluate needs and determine appropriate treatment.

2. Prescribe necessary treatments or medications as per the patient’s condition and consistent with their health and wellness.

3. Implement care plans for patients in line with their specific needs and medical histories.

4. Arrange necessary screenings, diagnostic tests, and referrals to specialists as required.

5. Educate patients on the potential side effects of treatment, medication usage, and therapeutic options.

6. Work collaboratively with doctors, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to discuss treatment plans.

7. Maintain a current understanding of the latest treatments, medications, and field advancements.

8. Adhere to all company policies and NHS regulations, ensuring patient privacy and comfort at all times.

Qualifications:

1. Qualification to degree level, or equivalent in Nursing or a related field.

2. Must be a registered Non-medical prescriber with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).

3. Previous experience working in a clinical or healthcare setting.

4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to not only treat patients but educate them on their treatments.

5. Familiarity with the prescribing of controlled drugs and medications.

6. Updated knowledge on information regarding new drugs, their uses, and potential side effects.

7. Ability to work in a team and make decisions under pressure.

8. Proficiency in maintaining accurate and detailed patient records.

Salary: £55 per hour
