Non-Medical Prescriber NMP

Seven Criminal Justice are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Non-Medical Prescriber (NMP) to join our organization in Colchester. The chosen candidate will primarily focus on providing high-quality patient-centered care with regards to medicine management.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to establish their health status and manage their medication in accordance with best practices.

2. Develop, implement, and review individual treatment plans, taking into account clinical, cultural, and psychological needs.

3. Provide expert advice on medication, including appropriate usage, dosage, side effects, and potential interactions.

4. Work closely with other healthcare professionals to deliver integrated care services.

5. Keep detailed and accurate records of consultations, prescribing choices, and patient reactions or responses to medication.

6. Maintain and enhance professional competency and knowledge through ongoing professional development and education.

7. Adhere to the National Prescribing Centre’s (NPC) competency framework for all prescribers.

Essential Criteria:

1. Registered Non-Medical Prescriber with an active registration with the relevant professional body (e.g., NMC, HCPC, or GPhC).

2. Proven experience in a similar role.

3. Excellent communication and counselling skills.

4. Proficient in data management and electronic health systems.

5. Keen attention to detail and excellent decision-making skills.

6. Comprehensive knowledge of clinical governance and prescriber accountability.

7. Capacity to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
