Recovery Worker

  • Salary: £20 - £24 per hour
  • Type: Temporary / Full Time

Seven Criminal Justice are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Recovery Worker to be a part of our dynamic team in Southall.

Responsibilities:

1. Working closely with service users to assist them in their recovery journey and promote their independence.

2. Implementing personalised recovery plans for service users, ensuring these are regularly reviewed and updated.

3. Providing high-quality psychosocial interventions and support to those facing substance misuse or mental health issues.

4. Regularly liaising with other care providers, community resources, and health services to ensure a holistic approach to recovery.

5. Assisting in the delivery of therapeutic group activities and workshops.

6. Monitoring service users progress and providing necessary assistance.

7. Educating service users about healthier lifestyles and coping strategies.

8. Completing all necessary paperwork and maintaining up to date records.

9. Carrying out risk assessments and crisis interventions as necessary.

Requirements:

1. Proven experience in a similar role is desirable; however, training will be provided.

2. Understanding of the issues and challenges faced by individuals with substance misuse and mental health issues.

3. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with other professionals.

4. Strong organisational and time-management skills.

5. NVQ Level 3 Health & Social Care or equivalent is desirable.

6. Flexibility towards working hours and able to work on a rota basis.

7. Enhanced DBS check.

8. Exceptional problem-solving ability and a compassionate approach to recovery.
