Recovery Worker

Seven Criminal Justice are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Recovery Worker to join our team in Hatfield, UK. The ideal candidate will have experience assisting people working through mental health issues, substance abuse disorders, or other hardships.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide essential support to individuals as they journey through the recovery process.

2. Work collaboratively with service users to develop individual recovery plans.

3. Facilitate regular group therapy sessions and one-on-one support missions.

4. Advocate on behalf of service users, liaising with healthcare providers, social workers, and family members when necessary.

5. Carry out routine assessments to monitor service users’ progress and adjust recovery plans accordingly.

6. Provide crisis intervention as required, ensuring service users’ safety at all times.

7. Maintain detailed and confidential records of service users’ progress.

8. Participate in regular team meetings and professional development opportunities.

Requirements:

1. Degree or diploma in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.

2. Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in mental health or substance abuse recovery.

3. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

4. Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

5. Comfortable dealing with challenging situations and able to remain calm under pressure.

6. Knowledge of current UK healthcare policy and legislations relating to mental health and substance abuse recovery treatments.

7. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if necessary.

8. Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS) required.
