Recovery Worker

Seven Criminal Justice are currently seeking a compassionate, dedicated Recovery Worker to join our thriving team in London. This role will afford the successful candidate an opportunity to contribute significantly to the delivery of our services. The Recovery Worker will be responsible for aiding individuals in their journey to overcome dependencies and achieve a balanced life.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Support individuals on their recovery journey from substance misuse or mental health problems.

2. Provide one-to-one counselling and group facilitated sessions as required.

3. Contribute to the development and review of individual recovery plans and risk assessments.

4. Monitor the progress of service users and adjust their recovery plans asrequired.

5. Advocate on behalf of service users within a variety of settings, including clinical reviews and housing meetings.

6. Cooperate closely with internal and external partners, including social services, healthcare professionals and community resources.

7. Promote harm reduction and health promotion strategies.

8. Complete detailed, accurate service user records and reports in a timely manner.

9. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection regulations.

Required Qualifications/ Skills:

1. Minimum of two years’ experience in a similar position.

2. Experience working with individuals suffering from substance abuse or mental health disorders.

3. NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent, is desirable but not essential.

4. Strong written and verbal communication skills.

5. Ability to demonstrate empathy and maintain professional boundaries.

6. Knowledge of harm reduction and recovery-focused models.

7. Current DBS check.

8. Flexibility to work different shifts, including evenings and weekends.
