Recovery Worker

Seven Criminal Justice are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Recovery Worker to join our team in Ealing, UK. The chosen individual will be tasked with supporting clients on their journey to recovery from addictions and other complex issues. This role is an ideal opportunity for individuals with a passion for helping others and interested in gaining unique and valuable experience.

Responsibilities:

1. Assess client needs and develop personalised recovery plans.

2. Work closely with other healthcare and support professionals, liaising with them to ensure a holistic approach to recovery.

3. Facilitate group therapy sessions and provide one-to-one support when necessary.

4. Provide support to clients during recovery, including counselling and guidance.

5. Help clients in accessing other services, such as housing, education, and employment.

6. Stay informed to developments in addiction recovery and implement new strategies for client care as necessary.

7. Ensure all paperwork and digital records are up to date and stored according to regulations.

Qualifications:

1. A degree in social work, counselling, psychology or related field is desirable.

2. Valid professional certifications in addiction recovery or counselling are highly appreciated.

3. Experience in addiction support and recovery services is a plus.

4. Excellent communication, empathy and interpersonal skills.

5. Proficiency in record keeping and basic IT skills.

6. Ability to deal with challenging situations appropriately and effectively.

7. Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends if required.

8. A DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check will be required for this role.
