Recovery Worker

Seven Criminal Justice are seeking a highly skilled and committed Recovery Worker for an immediate start, based in Chesterfield, UK. The Recovery Worker will excel in delivering the highest standard of care, helping individuals to overcome substance misuse.

Responsibilities:

1. Providing non-judgmental support to individuals recovering from substance misuse.

2. Implementing personalized care plans, developed in partnership with healthcare professionals and therapists.

3. Assisting clients in accessing various community resources and services.

4. Delivering 1:1 and group-based recovery interventions.

5. Contributing to case management and maintaining records of clients’ progress.

6. Providing crisis intervention as necessary and liaise appropriately with other organisations.

7. Installation of best practice guidance and support in relation to recovery and re-integration into the community.

8. Develop and maintain relationships with both the service users and their families, ensuring they are part of the recovery process.

Qualifications and Skills:

1. Relevant experience in substance misuse or mental health sectors preferred.

2. Good understanding of the issues facing individuals with complex needs.

3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, their families, and health profession teams.

4. Ability to respect and maintain client confidentiality.

5. Flexibility, resilience, and ability to work on your own initiative.

6. An understanding of Safeguarding and Health & Safety regulations.

7. Must possess NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.

This role requires someone who is compassionate, patient, understands the importance of confidentiality and is interested in promoting the well-being of vulnerable individuals in their recovery journey.

Applicants should note that the hours of work may occasionally involve evening and weekend work to meet service demands. As such, flexibility is crucial.
