Recovery Worker

Seven Criminal Justice are seeking a devoted and empathetic Recovery Worker to join our team in Berkshire. The ideal candidate must be passionate about improving the lives of those suffering from various forms of addiction and have a steadfast dedication to supporting them on their journey to recovery.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide unwavering support to service users on their recovery journey from addiction.

2. Develop individual recovery plans in collaboration with users, focusing on their needs and abilities.

3. Conduct regular assessments of service users to measure their progress, reviewing and adjusting recovery plans as needed to maximize their success.

4. Organize and facilitate individual or group therapy sessions and interventions.

5. Liaise with other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive and consistent level of care.

6. Engage with service users’ family members and significant others to ensure an effective support network.

7. Advocate on behalf of service users in CAB appointments, housing meetings, and healthcare consultations.

8. Provide harm reduction advice and deliver brief interventions when necessary.

9. Maintain detailed records, ensuring all documentation is updated promptly and accurately according to regulatory requirements.

10. Work within the finest ethical guidelines, ensuring client confidentiality at all times.

Required Qualifications:

1. Experience in a similar role or environment working with recovery services is necessary.

2. Possess or working towards NVQ Level 3 Health & Social Care or equivalent.

3. A genuine passion for helping others along their recovery journey.

4. An understanding of the challenges faced by individuals dealing with substance misuse.

5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

6. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision.

7. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
