Recovery Worker

  • Salary: £20 - £23 per hour

Seven Criminal Justice are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Recovery Worker for an immediate position in Borehamwood. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting individuals on their recovery journey and help them to regain control over their lives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Providing comprehensive support to service users experiencing mental health issues, focusing on their recovery journey.

2. Implementing individual support plans collaboratively with service users, focusing on their aspirations and goals.

3. Engaging service users in activities and therapies to aid their recovery.

4. Liaising with multi-disciplinary teams to coordinate healthcare services for individuals.

5. Conducting risk assessments and taking necessary action to protect the health and well-being of service users.

6. Offering assistance with daily activities, such as meal preparation, medication, social interaction, and attending appointments.

7. Building and maintaining good relationships with service users, their families, and healthcare providers.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

1. At least Diploma/NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or related field.

2. Prior experience in a similar role, particularly with individuals suffering from mental health issues.

3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

4. Ability to work flexibly around the needs and demands of service users.

5. Proficient understanding and commitment to confidentiality and safeguarding procedures.

6. Ability to react in crisis situations and follow procedure and risk assessments.

7. Knowledge of the current relevant legislation and policies related to health and social care.
