Recovery Worker

Seven Criminal Justice are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Recovery Worker to join our dynamic team in Kent. In this role, you will be a crucial part of our dedicated team, providing front-line interventions and support to individuals recovering from drug and alcohol addiction.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide high quality recovery-focused support to individuals struggling with substance abuse and addiction.

2. Design and implement personalised recovery plans tailored to individuals’ unique needs.

3. Assist clients in accessing support from external agencies and community resources.

4. Work collaboratively within an integrated team to develop coordinated care and support plans.

5. Manage a caseload based on individual client’s needs and circumstances.

6. Maintain accurate and updated client records, adhering to confidentiality standards.

7. Deliver group and one-to-one recovery interventions.

8. Deliver harm reduction advice and information to individuals, carers and their families.

9. Provide emotional and practical support to clients and their families.

10. Support clients in the development of life skills such as managing finance, maintaining tenancy, and employment training.

Requirements:

1. Relevant experience in substance misuse services or related field.

2. Knowledge of the issues faced by individuals with drug and alcohol problems.

3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

4. Ability to work flexibly, including some weekends and evenings.

5. Team-oriented with strong organisational and decision-making skills.

6. Ability to maintain confidentiality and safeguard vulnerable clients.

7. Good understanding of safeguarding issues.

8. NVQ/Diploma Level 3 in Health & Social Care, or willingness to work towards this.

9. Right to work in the UK.
