Recovery Worker

  • Salary: £18 - £23 per hour
  • Type: Temporary / Full Time

Seven Criminal Justice are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Recovery Worker for a rewarding role based in Pentonville, UK. You will perform a crucial role in providing essential support and guidance to individuals recovering from substance abuse and mental health disorders.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide guidance and support to service users in diverse stages of recovery.

2. Assist in developing personalised recovery plans for each service user whereby setting, reviewing and achieving personal recovery goals.

3. Conduct risk assessments and devise risk management plans to ensure the well-being of service users.

4. Encourage and support service users in making positive lifestyle changes and maintaining their emotional health.

5. Provide practical help and support in areas such as housing, employment, education etc.

6. Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and mould comprehensive recovery plans.

7. Document progress and maintain detailed case notes.

8. Participate in training, supervision, and team meetings.

9. Facilitate group meetings and recovery-focused workshops.

Qualifications:

1. A diploma or degree in social work, psychology, counselling or a related field.

2. Previous experience working in a similar role in the field of substance misuse or mental health.

3. Strong understanding of recovery ethos and recovery models in substance misuse.

4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

5. Ability to manage stress effectively and work under pressure.

6. Keen attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality patient care.

7. Knowledge of IT systems and ability to maintain records using IT tools.

8. Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings if required.
