Remote Recovery Worker

Seven Criminal Justice are currently seeking an experienced and compassionate Remote Recovery Worker to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting individuals struggling with mental health issues, substance misuse, or social challenges as they work towards recovery.

This is a remote position, therefore a reliable internet connection and suitable work environment are necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Case management: Identify and assess the needs of individuals under your care. Develop and coordinate personalised recovery plans in line with each client’s unique situation and requirements.

2. Support and guidance: Provide emotional support and guidance through regular remote meetings. Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.

3. Crisis Intervention: Respond promptly to emergencies or crises situations. Utilise de-escalation techniques and connect individuals with appropriate services.

4. Documentation: Maintain accurate records, progress notes and reports. Keep track of individual’s progress and regularly review and adjust recovery plans accordingly.

5. Education and advocacy: Educate clients and their families on coping mechanisms, recovery strategies and available community resources. Advocate for your clients’ welfare and rights.

Qualifications and Skills:

1. A degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling or a related field is required.

2. Experience in a similar role working with mental health, addiction or social issues is essential.

3. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to empathise while maintaining professional boundaries.

4. Ability to work well within a multi-disciplinary team whilst also having the initiative to work independently.

5. High level of confidentiality and respect for clients’ rights and personal preferences.

6. Skills in crisis management and intervention.

7. DBS Check Clearance

8. Must be residing within the UK and be eligible to work in the UK.
