Substance Misuse Nurse

Seven Criminal Justice are urgently seeking a dedicated and seasoned Substance Misuse Nurse to join our highly reputable health care facility in East Sussex. The successful candidate will be a part of a multidisciplinary team delivering care to patients suffering from substance abuse disorders.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Provide comprehensive, patient-centred care plans and interventions to individuals with a history of substance misuse.

2. Build trust with patients and families impacted by addiction.

3. Liaise professionally with the multi-disciplinary team, including medical and nursing staff, social workers, and counselors.

4. Deliver harm reduction advice and health promotion to patients.

5. Assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate treatment/interventions and care for patients presenting with substance misuse.

6. Uphold patients’ rights to privacy and confidentiality in accordance with UK regulations.

7. Provide overdose prevention education and distribute naloxone kits.

Qualifications:

1. Registered Nurse Qualification(NMC).

2. Extensive experience in substance misuse sector.

3. Excellent communication and organizational skills.

4. Knowledge of harm reduction and addiction treatment strategies.

5. Proven ability to work effectively in a team as well as independently.
