Substance Misuse Nurse

Seven Criminal Justice are currently seeking a highly skilled and passionate Substance Misuse Nurse to join our dedicated team in Luton. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a significant impact by providing invaluable support and guidance to individuals struggling with substance misuse.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Deliver comprehensive assessments to accurately identify individuals’ needs related to substance misuse.

2. Work closely with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement substance misuse treatment plans.

3. Provide harm minimisation advice, support, and guidance to individuals and their families.

4. Administer medication as prescribed by the doctor and monitor patient response to the treatment.

5. Maintain accurate, informative, and up-to-date patient records.

6. Engage in continuous professional development and training to ensure the most effective care is provided.

7. Provide physical health advice and health promotion.

8. Liaise with relevant external agencies to ensure a coordinated and collaborative approach to patient care.

Qualifications and Skills:

1. Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.

2. Experience in the field of substance misuse or addiction is essential.

3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

4. Strong organisational and time management skills.

5. A compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.

6. High standard of personal integrity and professionalism.
