Substance Misuse Nurse

Seven Criminal Justice are seeking an experienced and dedicated Substance Misuse Nurse to join our devoted team in Maidenhead, UK. This challenging role requires a professional with a passion for providing the highest quality of healthcare services to those dealing with substance misuse issues.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Deliver comprehensive care to patients dealing with substance misuse.

2. Conduct assessments, implement treatment plans, and monitor patient progress.

3. Supply patients with information about the potential effects and dangers of substance misuse.

4. Liaise with medical professionals, social care organisations, and other agencies to facilitate a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.

5. Ensure the implementation of holistic care plans using evidence-based practice.

6. Maintain patient safety, dignity, and confidentiality at all times.

7. Provide harm-reduction advice and support recovery-oriented care.

8. Deliver educational programs to patients, families, and the wider community on substance misuse.

9. Keeping up-to-date with the latest treatments and advancements related to substance misuse nursing.

Job Requirements:

1. Registered Nurse with valid NMC Pin.

2. Experience as a Substance Misuse Nurse or in a similar role.

3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

4. Ability to work with a diverse patient population.

5. Strong knowledge of harm reduction and recovery-focused care.

6. Proven experience working autonomously and within a team.

7. Good knowledge of the mental, physical, and social impacts of drug and alcohol abuse.

8. The flexibility to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

9. Demonstrate empathy, resilience, and patience in dealing with challenging circumstances.

10. A clean DBS Check.
