Substance Misuse Trainer

Seven Criminal Justice are looking for a dedicated Substance Misuse Trainer to join our team in Hull, UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for educating individuals, communities, and professionals about substance misuse and its effects. Their goal will be to promote understanding, decrease stigma, and encourage healthy behaviors.

Responsibilities:

1. Delivery of training programmes on substance misuse to individuals, groups, and professional teams.

2. Design, implement and evaluate a comprehensive substance misuse training programme.

3. Keep up-to-date with current research and developments in the field of substance misuse and relay this information to trainees.

4. Provide resources, education, and support for individuals dealing with substance misuse and their families.

5. Create awareness by participating in community events and workshops.

6. Work collaboratively with other organizations to ensure a comprehensive approach to substance misuse treatment and prevention.

7. Maintain a safe, respectful and non-judgmental environment for all participants.

8. Document and report progress of the people attending the programs.

9. Follow all confidentiality regulations regarding client information.

Qualifications:

1. A degree in social work, psychology, health education or related field is preferred.

2. Relevant experience in substance misuse training and awareness.

3. In-depth knowledge of substance misuse and its effects on individuals and society.

4. Solid understanding of the best practices for substance misuse treatment and prevention.

5. Excellent presentation and communication skills.

6. Ability to work with diverse groups of people.

7. Must be empathetic, patient and maintain a positive and motivational disposition.
