Therapist – Addictions Recovery

Seven Criminal Justice are seeking an empathetic and professional Addiction Recovery Therapist to join our healthcare team in Minsterworth, UK. This role involves helping patients battling various forms of addictions, such as drugs, alcohol, gambling, and other self-destructive behaviors.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct thorough assessments to identify issues related to substance abuse and plan treatment interventions.

2. Develop personalized treatment plans based on patients’ needs.

3. Provide individual, family, and group counselling to help patients understand the root cause of their addiction.

4. Assist patients in building coping mechanisms to prevent relapse.

5. Monitor and evaluate patients’ progress and modify treatment plan as needed.

6. Provide post-treatment recovery support.

7. Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members including healthcare providers, social workers, and family members.

8. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional ethics.

9. Participate in continuous training and professional development opportunities.

10. Maintain proper documentation of treatment plans, progress notes, and clinical reports.

Qualifications:

1. A Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Counselling, or a related field. A Master’s degree will be a strong plus.

2. A licensed therapist with special training in addiction recovery.

3. Proven experience in the field of addiction recovery.

4. Exceptional counseling skills and a deep understanding of addiction struggles.

5. Strong communication skills and empathetic understanding.

6. Possess a working knowledge of UK’s healthcare system and ability to navigate it.

7. Ability to handle stressful and emotionally charged situations.

8. Awareness of local community resources that could assist in the recovery process is highly desirable.

9. Flexibility to work with diverse populations, potential evening or weekend hours.
