Digital Skills Tutor

Seven Resourcing are looking for a temporary Digital Skills Tutor to work with the Adult Learning Service in Slough. This position is on a ‘freelance’ basis but will involve a weekly commitment (to be discussed during interview). The role will initially be for a period of 3 months and is paying £25.25 per hour (paid to you via an umbrella company).

The role:

To teach and assess individuals and groups in the development of knowledge, skills & understanding of a subject or vocation in which you have evident experience, knowledge and expertise. It is expected that you will have a minimum of Level 3 qualification in your specialist subject.

To be responsible for the planning, delivery & assessment of programmes of teaching & learning as directed in accordance with the appropriate Adult Learning Service practices and National Quality Standards.

To lead and be responsible for groups of learners attending events, activities and teaching sessions.

To design, develop and innovate providing resources appropriate to the identified course, vocation or subject.

To support and enable high level recruitment, retention and achievement of learners.

Key Responsibilities:

      To consult and liaise with your designated Programme manager on the planning and design of the course or programme to be delivered.

To be responsible for the class registration, induction, assessment, course planning and organisation of tuition for learners.

To complete and return all individual learner records in accordance with service requirements.

To teach using a variety of relevant and up to date methods on a group or independent learning basis.

To assess, monitor and record the progress of learners in line with funding authority, awarding body and service procedures.

To design, write and maintain learning resources, making use of e-learning.

To contribute to the development and delivery of appropriate publicity and recruitment activity.

To evaluate the programme with learners and report this to your Programme manager and other key stakeholders as appropriate.

To contribute to the recruitment and progression of learners and working with colleagues, VCS and other partners to support and promote opportunities.

 

Applicant Requirements:

  • Qualifications: An appropriate adult teaching or lifelong learning qualification at Level 4 or higher or qualified teacher status (QTLS) OR Assessing & Verification to L4.
  • Experience: 1+ year of post-graduate within a similar role.
  • Compliance: Proof of ability to work and live in the UK. Current DBS check and references covering the last 5 years.
  • Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
  • Hours: Part-time and full-time roles available.
