Seven Social Care is looking for a Education Improvement Programme Lead at Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council

Purpose of the role

An Assistant Director of Education Improvement role is being created to support the Corporate Director of Children’s Services and the Director of Education to put in place the necessary systems and processes that will lead to improvement.

This core purpose of the role will be to:

      Lead on the further development and implementation of the Education Improvement Plan so that it is embedded in the directorate and underpinned by effective operational procedures.

Lead on the coordination and delivery of the Education Improvement Board and the priority areas that report into it, accelerating progress and delivery and providing assurance to the DCS that improvement is underway at pace.

Working to support the Heads of Service and Director of Education in progressing the core activities relating to the Education Improvement Board.

Leading improvement activity underway in Alternative Provision and SEND to address key areas of under-performance.

Review decision making and governance arrangements in the directorate.
