Learning and Development Officer

Seven Resourcing are looking for a temporary Learning and Development Officer to work in Birmingham. This position is initially for a period of 3 months and is paying £19.49 per hour (paid to you via an umbrella company). The working hours are Monday – Friday from 9am – 5pm. 

The role:

The role shall support coordination of all Social Work learning programmes from student placements to Aspiring managers.

The role shall require you to build strong relationships with our staff across the Trust , support the wider Practice Academy by coordinating the learning programmes alongside project leads.

This may include, planning, tracking and evaluating programmes and events. We are looking for someone who has excellent interpersonal skills who is able to use own initiative in a creative and fast paced team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To support the development and implementation of identified workforce strategies
  • Contribute to the development of the Learning and Development Annual Service Plan and related policies to meet agreed organisational priorities and performance targets.
  • To support customers in the identification and definition of current and future workforce learning and development needs
  • To be responsible for a specified portfolio within the Learning and Development Service derived from the Annual Service Plan, ensuring that resources are utilised for services to be delivered in an efficient and consistent manner
  • To support the maintenance of specific delivery partnerships and contribute to monitoring any related Funding Contracts / Service Level Agreements
  •  To provide learning and development expertise and professional support to the directorate and partners
  •  To ensure the commissioning and/or delivery of high-quality learning and development interventions which support directorate services and partners so they are person centred, responsive to the assessed needs of citizens, legislative requirements, national and local policy developments and developing practice needs.

Qualifications:

        N/A.

Experience: 1+ year of experience within a similar role. 

Compliance: Proof of ability to work and live in the UK. Current DBS and 2 x references. 

Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.

Hours: 35 hours p/w.
