Planning Support & Land Charges Officer

Seven Resourcing are looking for a Planning Support & Land Charges Officer to start a temporary contract for West Lancashire Borough Council.

The role:

You will be working as part of a centralised business support service, to support the delivery of an efficient and effective administrative and Local Land Charges function within the Growth and Development Service. The Council seeks to ensure workforce flexibility within the planning support team and as a result whilst an officer’s core role will be either Local Land Charges or Planning Support, they may be required to undertake alternative duties within the team because of workload pressures.

Key Responsibilities:

– To handle and reply to applications for Official Searches in the Land Charges Register and resolve customer enquiries

– To maintain all the Councils Planning, Building Control and Local Land Charges records.

– To research and compile historical information from Planning, Building Control and Local Land Charges records.

-To collate and produce statistical data as directed, ensuring the accurate input and maintenance of designated management information systems

Applicant Requirements:

• Experience: Previous administrative experience in a busy office environment
• Qualifications: Minimum qualification of GCSE English and Mathematics at grade C or above (or equivalent) OR sufficient previous experience in a similar job may satisfy this requirement Compliance: Up to date DBS, Right to Work in the UK.
• Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
• Hours: 36 hours a week 9am – 5pm
