Programme Manager – Bexley Council

Seven Education is looking for an Programme Manager in Bexley

The role:

• post is for temporary cover of a new permanent role as a Programme Manager to support the Children’s Services Directorate.

The post holder will support a variety of improvement projects across Children’s Social Care and will also assist in preparing for potential inspections across social care, special educational needs and disability and Youth Offending Service. This will include monitoring of improvement plan, ensuring up to date self-evaluations exist, collation of key documents required for Annex A submission, review of performance data as necessary to identify areas where further improvement is required.

Project management skills are required and a knowledge of inspection regimes would be useful but is not essential.

Purpose of the job

Deliver comprehensive, high quality, cost effective and timely Project /Programme Management and Improvement services to Members, Corporate Leadership Team, colleagues, partners and external bodies such as government departments and regulators.

Lead the delivery of Bexley’s internal improvement and delivery plans and provide peer challenge of these plans.

Where necessary support services in the planning and preparation for strategic inspections and reviews including peer challenge / stress test.

Provide professional expertise to drive a programme and project management approach for the Council, helping to develop and embed a culture of continuous improvement.
