SEND Manager

Seven Resourcing are looking for a temporary SEND Manager to work in Preston, Lancashire. This position is initially for a period of 3 months and is paying £400.00 per day (paid to you via an umbrella company). The working hours are Monday – Friday from 9am – 5:30pm. 

The role:

Lancashire Specialist Teaching Service is seeking to appoint a temporary additional manager to cover maternity leave with an immediate start. The successful candidate will have a background in education, with good interpersonal skills and a secure working knowledge of IT, including data capture, analysis and processing.

The Specialist Teaching Service is a specialist peripatetic specialist teaching service that supports the local Authority and Lancashire Settings and Schools in meeting the needs of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities. It is a very exciting time to join the service with a new structure about to go live of 6 Specialist Teaching Teams. The service consists Specialist Teaching Teams highly qualified and experienced Specialist Teachers, Specialist Higher Level Teaching Assistants, Deaf Role Model and Sensory Technicians. We work closely with parents and other agencies to support children and young people in a range of settings including at home, early years settings, schools and colleges. From birth we support the youngest children with SEND through Portage and Early Years Sensory Support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring staff management via Oracle is maintained, this includes approving leave, managing sickness absence and approving expenses.
  • Supporting service delivery though processing referrals and liaising with business support.
  • Enabling the teams to be effective in support they provide to school staff, children and young people and their parents / carers.
  • Using IT effectively to support administration and management duties.

Applicant Requirements:

Qualifications:

      University Degree at grade 2:2 or above.

Experience: 1+ year of experience within a similar role. 

Compliance: Proof of ability to work and live in the UK. Current DBS and 2 x references. 

Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.

Hours: 37 hours p/w.
