Senior Activity Leader

Seven Education is looking for an Senior Activity Leader in Bexley

Hours of work: Working hours will be between 08:00 and 18:00. Total hours worked will not exceed 50 hours per week

DUTIES

          Enforce Health and Safety regulations and ensure the camp is a safe environment for all

Perform daily tasks to ensure camp runs effectively.

Daily tasks include site tours, equipment checks, communicating with parents and managing your team.

Tasks may be delegated to different members of your team but you must ensure that they’re completed

Provide support and guidance for your team. You must communicate effectively with your team to ensure that camp runs as smoothly as possible

Communicate with Managers (Victoria and Neil) to provide them with necessary information eg staffing issues and safe guarding concerns

Register the children and be responsible for head counts and letting staff now about numbers.

Liaise with parents and guardians at the start and end of the day and if any other problems arise

Ensure high risk activities and paperwork are being completed in accordance with Koala Klubs Activity Codes of Practice

Maintain a tidy site/baserooms and ensure all equipment is packed away

Provide and promote a fun and safe environment

Engage and include all children and use positive interaction

Be firm and use discipline with the children where needed especially if the children are showing challenging behaviors

Lead a variety of sport and art sessions for the children. The under 8’s must have a learning intention or skill focus.

  • Ensure that staff are aware of any children on camp who may have additional needs (including dietary needs) or a medical condition. Assist them in making reasonable adjustments to accommodate or understand children’s requirements

 

REQUIREMENTS – YOU WILL:

      Have experience working on a camp/childcare setting or leading a team (ideally within a school or similar)

    1. Be eligible to work in the UK

Provide satisfactory references

Be available for Induction Training Day and at least 1 Set Up Day (these will be within the 7 days prior to camp opening)

  • Complete relevant Online Training annually

 

Coordinate pack up and Tidy up at the end of camp
