Seven Education is looking for an Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) Manager in Hampshire at Bexley Council

The role:

The Learning & Enterprise College Bexley is a vibrant, financially secure adult education institution responsible for delivering high quality outcomes for learners, residents, and employers, while contributing to the strategic objectives laid out in Bexley Council’s corporate priorities for adult learning, employment, and wellbeing.

We are currently looking for an exceptional SENCO specialist who is ready to make an exciting career move into SEND management, you will be responsible for the development of, planning and delivery of support for the SEND (19-25) study programmes at the Learning and Enterprise College Bexley working alongside the Curriculum and Quality Manager for SEND.

As a SENCO Manager you will be aiming to continue the journey toward an ‘Outstanding’ department offering excellent achievement and progress for out SEND learners. you will manage the TA’s and work closely with the local authority to ensure that LECB meets it obligations to the local authority and learners alike. You will be supported to undertake professional development activities and further training and be a designated safeguarding officer. You will receive a comprehensive induction and support throughout your role.

You must hold the following:

      Level 4 or higher in relevant or related/similar subject (SENCO qualification)

Teaching qualification or be willing to work towards one (minimum Level 3 Award in Education and Training)

A minimum of level 2 in English, math’s, and ICT or equivalent (maths and English screening tests to be completed at interview).
