Healthcare Assistant

Seven Healthcare are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and motivated Healthcare Assistant to join our team in Bristol. The successful candidate will be integral to providing exceptional patient care within our healthcare setting.

Responsibilities:

1. Actively assisting healthcare professionals in delivering the highest quality patient care.

2. Administer basic care, such as assisting patients with personal hygiene, moving and handling, feeding, and continence care.

3. Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with patients, families and members of the healthcare team.

4. Monitor and record vital signs of patients including temperature, pulse, respirations and blood pressure.

5. Assist in maintaining a clean, safe and comfortable environment for patients.

6. Accompany patients to diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

7. Promote independence and support patients with activities of daily living.

Requirements:

1. Prior experience in a similar role or a relevant NVQ or equivalent qualification will be appreciated, though not mandatory as full training will be provided.

2. Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically.

3. Must be caring, compassionate, and patient-focused.

4. Ability to maintain a calm demeanour in stressful situations.

5. Must have a good understanding of confidentiality in line with the Data Protection Act.

6. Ability to work on a rota basis, which may include nights, weekends and bank holidays.

7. A current, clean DBS check will be required.

8. An up-to-date mandatory training certificate will be beneficial.
