Healthcare Assistant

Seven Healthcare are currently seeking a committed and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our professional medical team in Bristol. The ideal candidate will be someone who is passionate about healthcare, has effective communication and interpersonal skills, and is empathetic in delivering quality care to patients.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist patients with daily personal care tasks such as washing, dressing, eating, and getting around.

2. Monitor patients’ health conditions and wellbeing by recording vital signs and reporting any noticeable changes to the nursing team.

3. Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families.

4. Assist the nursing team during medical procedures when required.

5. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all aspects of daily work.

6. Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure client care is effective and efficient.

7. Maintain patient records ensuring confidentiality according to the UK’s laws and healthcare regulations.

Qualifications:

1. A Level 2 or 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care or an equivalent qualification is highly desirable.

2. Previous experience in nursing, residential or health care will be advantageous.

3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

4. Ability to work flexibly across various shifts, including nightshifts and weekends.

5. Knowledge of basic patient care and hygiene standards.

6. Satisfactory DBS check.
