Healthcare Assistant

Seven Healthcare are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant for our healthcare facility located in Bristol, UK. The position is open to individuals who are committed to providing exceptional patient care, are comfortable working in a team environment, and have excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist patients in their day-to-day activities such as bathing, toileting, dressing, eating and mobilizing.

2. Monitor patients’ vital signs like blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.

3. Assist healthcare professionals such as nurses and doctors in delivering clinical procedures.

4. Maintain communication with patients, providing emotional support and promoting their independence wherever possible.

5. Help with the reception of patients and manage appointments.

6. Keep the patient’s room clean and tidy and make beds.

7. Maintain patient records and ensure all confidentiality guidelines are met.

8. Understand health and safety guidelines, maintaining safe and healthy working conditions.

Requirements:

1. NVQ level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification preferred.

2. Previous experience in a similar role would be an advantage but not necessary as full training will be provided.

3. Exceptional communication skills with a focus on customer service.

4. Ability to work well with diverse team members and maintain professional relationships with staff and patients.

5. Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and public holidays.

6. Physically fit to assist with the moving and handling of patients.

7. Satisfactory background check and valid DBS
