Healthcare Assistant

Seven Healthcare are seeking a compassionate, dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our dynamic team in the heart of Gloucester, UK. The successful candidate will ensure that all of our patients receive top-quality care and comfort during their time with us.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Providing personal care to patients including but not limited to bathing, dressing, and assisting with meals and medication.

2. Assisting the healthcare professionals, including nurses and doctors, with procedures and assessments.

3. Monitoring patient vitals regularly and reporting changes in their health condition to the nursing team in a timely manner.

4. Assisting patients in daily activities, ranging from moving and walking to communication and recreational tasks.

5. Working with other healthcare professionals to provide a clean and safe environment conducive to recovery.

6. Maintaining accurate, detailed patient records and preparing them for physicians or other healthcare professionals as and when required.

Qualification and Experience:

1. A Diploma in Healthcare or equivalent is a prerequisite along with NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care.

2. Previous experience in a healthcare setting or in home care will be highly preferred.

3. Experience in dealing with patients suffering from chronic sickness and the elderly is desirable.

3. Ability to perform tasks with accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail.

4. Ability to react decisively and responsibly in emergency situations.

5. Good physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods.
