Healthcare Assistant

Seven Healthcare are recruiting for a skilled and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to provide high-quality medical care in our fast-paced environment in Kewstoke. You will deliver excellent patient care under the supervision of Registered Nurses and Doctors.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide high-quality personal care to patients while preserving their dignity and privacy.

2. Support registered professional staff in the delivery of care.

3. Monitor the health condition of patients, taking vitals like blood pressure, body temperature and pulse rate.

4. Assist with medical procedures under the direction of healthcare professionals.

5. Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients and their families.

6. Effectively communicate with patients, staff, and visitors, including those who may be in distress.

7. Support patients in day-to-day activities like eating, physical exercise, personal cleanliness, etc.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

1. Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant is preferred but not necessary, as full training will be provided.

2. NVQ Health & Social Care Level 2 or equivalent is desirable.

3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

4. A compassionate and patient-focused approach.

5. Must pass DBS check.

6. Understanding of confidentiality obligations and nursing best practices.

7. Good physical health and stamina.

8. Ability to undertake a variety of care tasks and medical procedures.
