Healthcare Assistant

Seven Nursing are dealing with HCA shifts in a Residential Home – Supporting people with Complex Needs, in Dolgellau, Wales.

We currently have block bookings available and you can choose to work day or night shifts. Pay Rates: £12 – £15 p/hour

We welcome applications from support workers, healthcare assistants, live-in-carers, domiciliary carers, and home care workers.

Job Summary:

Personal Care: Assisting residents with personal hygiene activities such as bathing, toileting, dressing, and grooming. This may include helping individuals with limited mobility or those who require specialized care, such as catheter or stoma management.
Medication Administration: Administering medications to residents as prescribed, ensuring compliance with medication schedules and proper documentation of administered doses. This involves adhering to strict protocols and maintaining accurate records.
Health Monitoring: Monitoring residents’ health conditions, including vital signs, weight, and overall well-being. Reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals, such as nurses or doctors.
Assisting with Mobility: Supporting residents in their mobility needs, which may involve using mobility aids, assisting with transfers, and providing physical support during activities such as walking or exercising. Ensuring safety measures are in place to prevent falls or accidents.
Daily Living Support: Assisting residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as eating, drinking, and maintaining a clean living environment. This may include meal preparation, feeding assistance, and light housekeeping tasks.
Emotional Support: Building rapport and providing emotional support to residents, promoting their independence, dignity, and overall well-being. Engaging in meaningful conversations and social activities to enhance their quality of life.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of care provided, observations made, and any incidents or concerns that arise during your shifts. This includes adhering to confidentiality and data protection policies.
Collaborating with Multidisciplinary Team: Working closely with other healthcare professionals, such as nurses, doctors, therapists, and social workers, to ensure a holistic approach to resident care. Participating in care planning meetings and contributing to the development of individualized care plans.
Safeguarding: Recognizing signs of abuse, neglect, or exploitation and following established protocols to safeguard the well-being and rights of residents. Reporting any concerns to the appropriate authorities.
Adhering to Policies and Procedures: Following all organizational policies, procedures, and guidelines related to resident care, health and safety, infection control, and confidentiality. This includes participating in mandatory training programs to enhance your knowledge and skills.

Qualifications: N/A
Experience: preferred 3 + months UK experience in a paid care job
Compliance: Proof of ability to work and live in the UK.
