Registered Children’s Nurses

Seven Nursing are currently seeking a qualified and passionate full-time Children’s Nurse to join our exceptional pediatric healthcare team in Hereford, UK.

Setting: NHS Hospital

 

Shifts: Ad Hoc Basis

 

Shift Patterns:

 

Early: 07:15-14:15

 

Late: 12:15-19:45

 

Long Day: 07:15-19:45

 

Nights: 19:30-08:00

 

Remuneration:

 

Pay Rate (Umbrella): £30-40 per hour, contingent on shift type and urgency.

Role Responsibilities:

1. The candidate will provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to children, young adults, and their families. This care includes carrying out initial assessments, evaluations, implementing treatment plans and follow-up care.

2. The role involves working closely with a multidisciplinary team, including doctors, nurses, dietitians, social workers, and other healthcare professionals.

3. The successful candidate will also be responsible for effectively communicating with patients and their families to educate them on their health status and care needs.

4. A meticulous routine of monitoring vital signs, administering medication, and documenting patient’s progress will be a significant part of this role.

5. The nurse will be expected to handle emergencies effectively and ensure a calm and safe environment for all patients.

6. The role also includes providing emotional support and reassurance to patients and families during difficult times.

Role Requirements:

1. The candidate must hold a valid Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) registration.

2. The completion of an approved nursing programme is essential, preferably specialising in Paediatric Nursing.

3. A minimum of two years’ experience working in a paediatric setting is preferred.

4. Essential skills include excellent communication, problem-solving abilities, and a compassionate approach to patient care.

5. The candidate should be capable of working in a high-stress environment while maintaining a professional and calm demeanour.

6. Strong organisational skills, the ability to multitask and make decisions in a fast-paced environment are also paramount.
