Pharmacy Dispenser

Seven Helathcare are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Pharmacy Dispenser for an opportunity in Sheffield, UK. The ideal candidate will have proficient knowledge about dispensing medicine and processing prescriptions with a strong obligation to patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Accurately dispensing and labelling medication according to prescriptions provided by medical practitioners.

2. Assisting pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to ensure prescriptions are filled accurately and on time.

3. Maintaining up-to-date patient records and ensuring that all necessary information is recorded on these.

4. Answering queries from customers about their medication and providing general advice on non-prescription products.

5. Establishing a positive environment in the pharmacy, ensuring excellent customer service.

6. Keeping up to date with the latest pharmacy regulations, guidelines, and procedures to maintain proficiency.

7. Assisting in the management and organization of the pharmacy inventory.

8. Conducting regular stock checks and reporting any discrepancies to the pharmacy manager.

9. Complying with all ethical, professional, and legal pharmacy standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

1. A recognised Pharmacy Dispenser qualification.

2. Sound knowledge of medical terminology and prescription drugs.

3. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

4. Good customer service skills and a caring attitude towards patients.

5. The ability to handle stressful situations and multitasking.

6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

7. Ability to respect and maintain privacy and dignity of patients.

8. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

9. Must possess the right to work in the UK.
