Pharmacy Dispenser

Seven Medical are seeking a dedicated, organized, and efficient Pharmacy Dispenser to join our growing team. In this role, you will facilitate the efficient management and organisation of medicines and health products. Your role is crucial in providing patients with medicine that helps them to lead healthier and happier lives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Accurately dispensing drugs prescribed by medical staff.

2. Assist in the preparation of prescriptions by retrieving, counting, pouring, weighing, measuring, and mixing medications.

3. Keep accurate patient records while providing a high level of patient confidentiality.

4. Engage with patients and care professionals to provide advice on the usage of medications.

5. Assist with inventory management strategies to avoid shortage and excess of medications.

6. Help in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly pharmacy environment.

7. Participate in relevant training and staff development sessions.

Qualifications and Requirements:

1. Must hold a recognized Pharmacy Dispenser qualification.

2. Good understanding of the NPA code of ethics for pharmacy services.

3. Excellent communications skills with the ability to engage, consult and educate patients about their medications.

4. Must have meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in prescription preparation.

5. Must be aware of current UK Pharmacopeia standards.

6. Excellent organisational skills and ability to work under pressure.

7. Should have good computer skills for maintaining patient records.

8. Team player with excellent problem-solving skills.
