Accountant – Public Sector

Seven Resourcing are currently seeking an Accountant to work in the Public Sector team within North Yorkshire. This is a full time position, and we are paying £28.04 per hour for this role. 

The role:

Provide financial support both to service directorates within NYC and to the new Mayoral Combined Authority.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work will include introducing, developing and documenting financial processes and procedures in relation to debtors, creditors, balance sheet and bank reconciliations and year-end closedown. Working closely with service managers, provide regular financial monitoring, undertake budget and financial planning work and support the managers in grant claim submissions.
• Working with minimum supervision and often taking the initiative, the role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a strong financial background.

Applicant Requirements:

• Qualifications: GCSEs A-C or equivalent including at least English and Maths. Educated to A Level standard or equivalent experience
• Experience: 2+ years working within a similar role. 
• Compliance: Current Standard DBS check. 
• Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
• Hours: 37 hours p/w.
