Seven Resourcing are currently seeking and School Admin Officer to work within Leicestershire County Council. This is a full time role, paying £13.40 p/h. 

Job Purpose:

      To process a range of applications in relation to children in entertainment and employment.

To work within a legal framework carrying out statutory duties whilst promoting compliance with current legislation, national guidance and local Byelaws. 

To provide advice/guidance to clients in accordance with national and local legislation.

To work with a range of internal and external agencies who are involved in either local businesses or the entertainment industry across Leicestershire, to ensure the safety and wellbeing of children.

To assist colleagues in the team with the chaperone process, conducting interviews and processing applications when required.

Main Duties:

Ma na ge me n t/Supervision

Participation in Performance Development Review (PDR) and supervisory processes and in any relevant training and professional development

Planning

Advising senior staff on the implications of legislative change and national guidance and on trends and other issues.

Relationships and Communications

      Effective communication with parents, external clients/organisations both professional and amateur, theatres, performance venues, school Head teachers and staff, other local authorities, other agencies within the Children and Family Services e.g. Social Care/Trading Standards/Safeguarding, other local agencies, external bodies e.g. National Network for Children in Employment and Entertainment (NNCEE), Police.

By all means, e.g. email, telephone, correspondence and in person.

Service Delivery

      Process a range of applications in a consistent manner in accordance with national legislation/guidance and local Byelaws. Ensuring that those responsible for using children in performances (professional and amateur), in paid sport and modelling, make suitable arrangements to safeguard them

Provide advice/guidance on local authority and national legislation in areas of responsibility.

To maintain accurate files and records, both manual and computerised, in respect of children who are partaking in performance/employment.

To maintain administrative systems and processes to enable and support the efficient and effective running of the Child Performance & Employment Team.
