Administrator – Schools

Seven Education are looking for a temporary Admin Officer to work with the School Performance and Improvement Service in Hackney. This position is initially for a period of 6 months and will involve working 36 hours per week. The hourly rate is £14.32.

The role:

To oversee the administrative functions required for effective delivery of the multi-agency Healthy Early Years (HEY) programmes in the borough, ensuring the effective management of time and resources.

To ensure that reporting and evaluation is robust and reports are easy to interpret by a range of stakeholders.

To provide practical hands on support to the range of early years providers to ensure that they can meet the demands of the HEY programmes in order to achieve high engagement levels, low drop out and high success rates.

To assist in the development and distribution of high quality marketing/communication materials aimed at both parents of children 0-5 years and the range of professionals who work with parents of children 0-5 years.

Key Responsibilities:

      Manage all Healthy Early Years (HEY) enquiries via telephone, email and video call.

Establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders and act as a first point of contact for the HEY programmes. The post holder will possess excellent communication and negotiation skills which will be necessary for building and maintaining effective relationships with professionals across a range of services including: Hackney Early Years and Play Team, Hackney Public Health team; The voluntary sector, The Health Visiting Service; Best Start with Henry service (nutrition), Oral health professionals, colleagues in School Nursing and professionals working across the early years sector in the borough.

To analyse and evaluate data/information to produce high quality reports/information/presentations as required for both internal and external clients. These reports will assist with internal and external evaluation.

Lead on the planning, development and organisation of effective administrative support systems including project planners; practitioner guidance documents and information materials etc.

Maintain a range of spreadsheets/databases to ensure these are accurate, up to date and fit for purpose.

Collate evidence-based information, from a range of sources to inform the design and content of high quality communications for early years professionals, such as news items on websites, newsletters, training adverts.

Schedule and administrate meetings with members of the multi-agency Healthy Early Years group and other colleagues working in early years (including Children’s Centres). The includes the effective organisation and timely completion of agenda’s, minutes and other related documents to ensure the meetings are effective and all agreed actions are followed through.

Applicant Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Early Years and Play (childcare) Qualifications.
  • Experience: Experience of planning and managing tasks in a timely and effective manner.
  • Compliance: Proof of ability to work and live in the UK. References covering the past 5 years.
  • Hours: 28 hours p/w.
