Adult Protection Committee Lead Officer

Seven Social Care are looking for an Adult Protection Committee Lead Officer to work with Renfrewshire Council in the Adult Protection Team. This position is offering a negotiable pay rate of £35+.
You must be a qualified Social Worker or Nurse.
The Role:
To support Renfrewshire Adult Protection Committee (RAPC) in its key functions of continuous improvement, strategic planning, public information, communication and promoting high standards of inter-agency adult protection and support practice in Renfrewshire.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain an overview of inter agency adult protection and support activity in Renfrewshire and take a lead role in ensuring continuous improvement.
- Carry out research in relation to good practice within policy, strategy and planning and apply this information to drive innovative thinking and service development.
- Work with key stakeholders in partner agencies to promote effective inter-agency policy and practice.
- Lead on the development of the RAPC strategic planning and to support the inter agency working groups of RAPC in carrying out the tasks outlined within the strategic plan.
- Lead on the assessment and review of complex service areas and to contribute to and lead on service re design and implementation programmes.
- Lead on identified areas of work on behalf of the working groups of the RAPC.
- Provide reports on activity and management information to the RAPC and Chief Officer’s Group.
- Support and co-ordinate the process of carrying out significant case reviews on behalf of RAPC and ensure learning is embedded into policy and practice.

- Responsible for networking with other Adult Protection Committees, ADSW, national and local consortia contributing to the sharing of good practice and developments in child protection.
- Report to RAPC on evidence based reports and practice developments and best practice in adult protection and support.
- Lead on the preparation for scrutiny processes developed through the Care Inspectorate.
- Support and further develop RAPC self evaluation, performance management and quality assurance processes and ensure that learning and improvement is embedded.
- Involved in supporting and training staff across agencies.
- To co-ordinate the development of policy, practice and procedures for adult protection and support across all key partner agencies.
- To adhere to the Council’s commitment to health and safety, supporting attendance, equal opportunities and compliance with all relevant policies.
Applicant Requirements:
- Qualifications: Degree approved by Social Care Scotland.
- Experience: 2+ years working with adults as a qualified Worker in the UK.
- Compliance: Up to date SSSC registration and DBS.
- Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
- Hours: 37 hours p/w.
