Adult Social Worker

Seven Health & Social Care are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Adult Social Worker for an exciting opportunity in Herefordshire. The successful candidate will earn £43 per hour.

In this vital role, you will be assisting vulnerable adults, their families, and caregivers by providing structured support and counselling. You will be an advocate for adults who need help and act as a link to connect individuals with necessary resources, social services, and support.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct comprehensive assessments of individual clients, including their social, emotional, psychological and environmental needs.

2. Create individualized care plans, setting goals and determining the required resources.

3. Advocate for clients’ rights and needs, and report any potential safety concerns.

4. Facilitate arrangements for healthcare services, housing resources, and other community resources.

5. Provide therapeutic support through counselling, and develop coping skills where necessary.

6. Maintain accurate client records while adhering to confidentiality guidelines.

7. Responding to crisis situations and applying appropriate interventions.

Job Requirements:

1. Must possess a Degree in Social Work or a relevant field.

2. Valid registration with the relevant UK professional body.

3. Experience in Social Work with an emphasis on adult populations is desirable.

4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

5. Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team and also work independently.

6. Must have a thorough understanding of safeguarding and risk assessment tools.

7. Excellent problem-solving skills and resilience in high-stress situations.

8. Must be able to manage a complex caseload.

9. Demonstrate a high level of empathy and emotional intelligence, with strong interpersonal skills.
