Adults Social Worker, Locality Team

Seven Social Care are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Adults Social Worker to join our Locality Team in Tewkesbury, UK. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a professional who is looking to make a genuine difference in the lives of adults facing difficulties and challenges in their everyday life.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify the needs and strengths of adults, families, and community to design effective intervention strategies.

2. Provide direct support and counseling services to adults who are dealing with issues such as mental health problems, substance abuse, and disability.

3. Collaborate with other local agencies to provide a multidisciplinary approach to supporting clients’ welfare concerns.

4. Build, maintain and terminate effective relationships with clients, ensuring their safety, and promoting their independence and recovery.

5. Initiate appropriate protective services for adults that are at risk of harm or neglect.

6. Document all case information, prepare reports, and maintain an updated case record for each client.

7. Participate in regular team meetings, case conferences, training activities, and supervision.

Qualifications and Skills:

1. Qualified Social Worker with a current registration with the Social Care of England.

2. Significant post-qualification experience as a Social Worker in adult services.

3. Knowledge of adult safeguarding, mental capacity act, and various other legislation related to social care.

4. Proven ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.

5. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to negotiate and liaise with other professionals and organisations.

6. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to write reports and maintain case notes.

7. A valid UK driving license is essential as the role will require local travel.
